After rv s are a few years old the black tank level gauge often stops working or is stuck on a certain level. If a tank is left open or not filled to the required level the liquid runs away easily but the solids stay. Ours does not work for the fresh water gray and black tanks. Fill the tank to the top and note the level on your tank monitor gauge or information center.

Tank level gauges not working permalink i have a 87 shasta road master rv and the fresh grey and black water level gauges are not working the rvs generator has two batteries that hook up to it and at this time i don t have batteries for it but at the time of checking the gauges it was plugged in the lights and plugs woeked but no gauges. It has turned out that we really do not need the gauges. But before we learned how to live with out them i had planned to install a seelevel system. The seelevel does not use in tank probes to measure the levels and it has its own panel that you use instead of your existing panel.
