Fortunately you can install some of the best rv refrigerator fans to keep your refrigerator from overheating as well as your drinks.

Rv refrigerator fans have a milieu of features to offer.
In some rv fridge installs there is not enough room to install the fan in this manner.
It gets installed in what they call the roof window or what we call the roof vent.
Or if you hate the installation process then you can always opt for a battery powered one.
If you re not exactly sure what to look for in an rv refrigerator fan fear not.
Tip 3 while rv refrigerator vent fans come in a variety of shapes and sizes avoid battery operated units.
The wiring is run down the vent and into the rv where the controller is located.
In the picture shown you can see the fans mounted on top of the refrigerator roof exhaust vent using the supplied hardware.
A battery operated unit is easy to install but can be difficult to reach when it s time to change batteries.
I installed the smaller ttc sc22 rack fan on the fridges outside access panel and the larger ttc sc09tz on top of the refrigerator roof vent.
If you do use a battery operated rv refrigerator fan remember to turn it off when not in use.
With everything wired up and operating correctly it is now time to re install the outside vent covers or paneling cabinetry inside the rv.
The third and much larger ttc sc21 rack fan is designed for cooling the inside of the rv.
Installing the evaporator fan.
At minimum you need the fridge defend without fan control v4 0 even better the fridge defend fan control v4 1 with 12v rv fridge fans which will help increase the efficiency of your fridge in addition to providing rv fridge defrosting if fans are mounted inside the refrigerator compartment as shown below.
Of course this is a matter of preference but here are some useful add ons.
The next step will be to install the fan on the evaporator coil inside the refrigerator.
Look for rv refrigerator fans that come with a complete set of screws or wiring.
If this is the case we usually mount the blower directly to the roof of the cooling unit compartment so that the hot air is blown out the vent.

A positive and negative connection to the controller completes the install.
The final step is to locate a 12v or 24v power source.
However keeping your drinks cold in your rv s refrigerator takes a lot of power and can be taxing in really hot summer temperatures.
