Porter Cable 150 Psi Compressor Not Shutting Off

I m having a problem with a porter cable cpf 6020 compressor.

I got it from a friend who didn t want to fix it so i thought no problem. My portable cable builds up air 150 psi it use too shut off when it did now the valve pops open and releases all the air whats the issue here i mis placed my owners manual.
