Pool Solar Panel Hose Setup

Your pool system already includes the pump controller and filter along with pvc pipes that route the water flow.

When the bypass valve is open water in your pool runs through a pipe and goes up to the solar panels. Locate a hose clamp 3 8 10mm from the end of the hose in order to center it on the header groove. You can set up your own above ground solar panels in under an hour. You can heat your pool using solar power.

If you have a traditional solar panel system you turn it on by rotating the solar bypass valve so that the pipe is open. Both solar systems are modular that is you can connect additional panels to each other. Then i took 200 of 1 2 vinyl irrigation hose and coiled it tightly on the plywood using uv resistant zip ties to secure the hose every foot or so by drilling holes and looping the zip tie around the hose and through the plywood. Connect the return hose from the solar panel outlet to the pool wall return to bring the warm water into your pool.

There are two types of solar systems for above ground pools the solar arc pool heater upper right and the universal solar heater. Simply break into the pvc line after the filter and run a couple of flex hoses or pvc if you prefer to the solar collector panel which you can lay out on the ground or set against a hill to achieve some tilt toward the sun.

Connect the return hose from your pump into the solar panel inlet to bring the cold water into the solar heater. The long hoses go on the outlet of the last collector and the inlet of the first collector. I took a 4x4 piece of plywood and painted it black.
